Feedback from our student:

"Brilliant teacher is able to explain difficult concepts easily and even when I was struggling to understand them, Tim always continues to try to frame it in a way which makes sense to me. I have attended tutoring sessions with Tim for over four years now, these sessions have assisted me in becoming more confident with mathematics. Tim is extremely considerate of his students'specific needs in learning and always ensures that you get the most out of every session. He also genuinely cares about his students'success and results, while always remaining passionate and well informed about the subjects he teaches. In year 7 (prior to tutoring) I honestly thought that I would not be able to complete any maths subjects in year 12, and yet, in 2018 (my final year of secondary school) I now plan on completing Maths Methods as my one of my subjects. Thanks to Tim's assistance. Furthermore, Tim is an outstanding tutor which I highly recommend.

ABOUT US:
Our aim and teaching philosphy

Beyond enhancing a student’s academic success, we believe an intrinsic love for learning can be nurtured from a young age. In fact, a student’s attitude often proves more important than the teaching provided to them. So at Impact Education, we aim to teach students that their knowledge should be paired with a determined attitude to provide the platform they need when pursuing their chosen career paths.

Indeed, our teaching revolves around the philosophy that education and enthusiasm, is power.

VCE, Scholarship and Selective School Exam Preparation
Different Students
Require Different
Approaches to Learning

Over the years we’ve encountered many different students and understand that suitable learning approaches vary from one child to another.

Group classes are ideal for students who are fueled by healthy competition alongside like-minded individuals, where one-on-one lessons provide the undivided attention another student may need to bring out their personal best.

At Impact, we further tailor our teaching methods to cater for various learning needs. Some children require more external motivation that others, where others engage more effectively using visuals, or in a more interactive and dynamic environment. With this understanding, we can ensure we are providing the best service for every child who chooses to tutor with us.

More year 12 students opting for unscored VCE

Desperate year 12 students are opting for unscored VCE in a bid to cope with anxiety, with “stratospheric” levels of stress after two years of lockdowns.

Experts predict the 2022 rate of unmarked VCE students will top the record rate of one in ten reached in 2021.

If you are looking to prepare for the scholarship and selective school exams, remember the steps to success:

  • Guidance

  • Practice

  • Perseverance

We specialise in teaching the  ACER and EduTest examination syllabuses. We also design our own exercises and workbooks to support the students, such that revising their learning occurs both in the classroom, and at home.

Additionally, we conduct trial exam sessions so children can experience the exam process and atmosphere before the actual day.

For VCE, we offer individual and group tuition, preparing students to achieve the results they seek in their final years. As well as English, we offer Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Our tutors are up-to-date and here to ensure they cover the VCE courses thoroughly.

Impact Education has helped over 500 students achieve success in the past 6 years.

Our tracked results show:

  • 9 out of 10 students improved their results by 20% within one semester

  • Most students improved their marks by at least one letter grade in one semester

  • 80% of our students were selected by Melbourne High School, Scotch College, MLC, etc

Testimonials

I got tutored by Tim in 2017 for methods 3/4 and each lesson he was easily able to help me with any difficulties I had and taught me all the needed content for the year thoroughly. He provided a lot of resources such as different sacs and his own bound references that came in handy for my exam. I highly recommend this tuition centre!!

My experience at Impact Education has been unlike any other tutoring centre- in a good way! The learning material reflected the questions in this year's selective exam, and everything I studied was explained thoroughly. Although I have only studied with Candice for a couple months, she has played a distinctive role in my success at securing a place at Mac.Robertson.

Tim is an exceptional tutor for Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, and Chemistry. As a teacher, he explains concepts in a meticulous and indepth manner. Before my tuition with him, O was having difficulty understanding concepts with relation to probability (maths method) however, he aided me with my problem by setting me many more tests. The great thing about Tim is he doesn't only teach you the worse in advance, he also prepare you for SACs and exams the minutes you finish a topic so you can constantly be preparing additional material. Thank you Tim for all the imput in my VCE studies.
